"Is This the Perfect Classic Fedora Style?"	I have purchased a LOT of hats from the FedoraStore, and most all are great hats. But I have purchased the "Gangster" in 4 colors for myself as well as 4 or 5 others for gifts. The wool felt has a fur felt look, is shaped to perfection, and has a slightly taller and more "pinch front" crown than even the fur felts I have purchased. I love the style of the "Tango" as well, but the "Gangster" has the look & feel of a higher quality hat. I would like to see this exact style available with a 2" snap brim as well as the 2-1/2" brim. I carefully trimmed a dark gray one to a 2-1/8" brim and it looks fabulous. I would love to see this and the "Tango" made available in fur felt, but for the price, you simply cannot beat the wool felt "Gangster" fedora.	Keven Holm

A very nice hat	I've wanted a fedora for a long time. This one's my first. It's soft and crushable, looks good, and is well worth the price I paid. Initially, I thought it was a bit too nice looking for casual wear - but I'm used to the look now. The snap turn-down brim is a feature I really like. The serpent color is good, too: it's a dark brown with a slightly greenish hue - not the lighter brown that I saw on this web site. (I was aware of this from the previous reviewer - thanks, Paul!) I've decided it's a versatile and pleasing complement for much of what I already wear. The light brown band is rather shiny, and the Bailey pin came attached to the center of the bow and not the rear fold (see picture). My only complaint: the band isn't stitched on evenly at the brim. It's too high in the front & back and a bit too low on one side. Also, some of the stitching in the back is just a little sloppy - but quite acceptable. Made in the USA.	Greg V.
Also my first Fedora	I received my hat just a couple of days ago and absolutely love it! Even had a couple of people ask where I bought it! Best Rabbit Felt Fedora Available, Period	What can I say, I own 4 Akubras including 2 federations and none of them hold a candle to this hat. The felt is pliable and responds easily to taking a crease, no steam needed out of the box. The color range and customizable ordering allowed me to get a light grey fedora with a 6 inch open crown and 2 3/4 inch brim! I compared it recently to a top end rabbit felt Borsalino and holy cow, what a difference. This hat walked all over the Borso. As rabbit felt goes I give this a top rating. I have a custom beaver AB fedora and some vintage hats which are of higher quality, but at this price point and turn around time this is the best deal you'll get for a rabbit felt hat. Best Straw Hat I've Bought Yet!!	This is the fourth straw hat I've received from the Fedora Store, and it was delivered just two days after ordering. Better than a Borsalino Hat! Excellent straw fedora that isn't for men only	Lots of fedoras look cool in pictures, only to look way too butch on a woman's head. Add to that the fact that most fedora designs for women are from the reject pile, and it can be frustrating for girls who squee at the return of the fedora to the fashion pages. The Bailey Guthrie is one of those that is totally unisex. It's also light, comfy, and well made. :)

FedoraFelt To The Rescue!!	I was surprised that my Extra Large Stetson fit so loose on my head, which is size 7 and a half, compared to other brands of the same size. Good fit, okay build.	I bought this in a large, my hat size is 7 3/8", and it fits just as well as my hats that are 7 3/8", not a non-descript size like large. Figure all the other people who are7 3/8" and looking at this might like to know. The hat feels all right, I'm sure with proper handling I can get a lot of use out of it, but I'm not expecting to get a very long life span out of it, five years would be nice, but we'll see. The trim in the image looks loose, but it's firmly stitched on there. The stencil design on the hat is black on mine, not purple like in the preview, something to keep in mind. But if you want a pink, straw fedora, that will turn heads everywhere, this is definitely a good hat to pick up.	Edward Brock

Gorgeous hat!	I ordered the velour felt in a charbrown, with a pencil-curled 1 3/4" brim, a "C" crown, a black contrasting band, and black trim; the hat is absolutely stunning, and I receive nothing but compliments and queries as to where I purchased it. I have just ordered another one in the silk felt, and I'll be back for more.
Great cap!	I didn't notice this hat the first several times through the catalog. It really doesn't stick out, but it should be one of their most popular models. It's a great looking cap; mostly casual, but in brown it looks like leather unless you are right up on it. The outside of the cap is water repellent and the inside is a soft flannel. I really like the proportions of the cap. I like a shorter brim and this brim measures 1 5/8". The Kangol tag is a small leather strip sewn on the left rear of the cap an is barely noticeable. This is a great casual cap; great for working in the yard; hiking; a day a the park; any casual outing. The waxed cotton will probably last a lifetime.	B Thomasson

Great product!	I have a large hat size. Some hats aren't available in my size. But if I can get a hat that's close to my size, this hat stretcher buys me enough additional hat size to make my hats wearable and comfortable. Even those adjustable "one size fits (almost) all" ball caps: Just put the hat stretcher inside an adjustable cap, use a c-clamp to secure the adjustable strip against the hat stretcher, steam and adjust. Great... Lightweight and Rollable!	I love this hat. It's the lightest straw I own... the one I reach for when it's REALLY hot. It's easy to forget this thing is on your head! The shape is lovely, with a nice Optimo crease and a brim that swoops subtly. On top of being a great summer hat, it really is rollable and packable. Now, I'm not saying that it will instantly pop back to it's shape as soon as you pull it out of your suitcase, but I've had good luck working it back into shape with a little water or steam. Happy Madison	This is my everyday hat. I love my Madison. It stands out and looks great with almost anything. The brim is large enough to stop the rain and snow yet not impede vision. If you have a narrow face the Madison is not so big as too look silly. If you have a round or wide face I would go with a smaller brim hat. Upkeep is easy just brush it off and go. My kids have taken the hat a jammed it on their head several times but the hat bounces back every time. I now laugh at guys who walk to work without a hat dont be one of them. Hat review	This is a great hat. I purchased one and am ordering another. The hat is very well made the brim and body are nice and stiff. The crown measures 4 1/4 ins. in height at the front The satin lining is as good as a hat costing three times more then this. The sweat band is also excellent I can not tell if it is real leather or simulated leather. If you want a great hat that you will love buy this hat !!! You will be happy you did. My favourite daily driver	Love this hat so much that I've bought it in three colours. It's a great casual hat for everyday wear, dressing up jeans and a shirt and adding a touch of classic style. The fact that it's crushable is fantastic, especially for those who haven't got loads of space to store hat-boxes etc. Because it's not particularly dressy, it doesn't work too well with a suit (mainly because of the lack of a pinch front), but there are plenty of other great hats on this site that do, so that's not a problem! My First Fedora	Being young I tend to still like the old: straight razors over multi-blade, old-time radio shows over TV and hats over hatless. My first real fedora	After looking at many hats on this website, I decided on this one. It took three business days for it to arrive at my home, and I found it to be nicer than I expected it to be. Nice, comfortable straw hat	T his hat is different from what I expected, but I'm generally pleased with it. My first Panama Hat I ordered was the Montecarlo Long Island Fedora, which I just love. This Stetson was more beige in color than white as in the picture, but is attractive, with a nice looking feather and buckle hatband. What surprised me was the Extra Large size was very loose for me, unlike the previous 5 hats I've bought from this site. It was more like 7 and three quarters. That problem was remedied by my purchasing the FedoraFelt Hat Sizing Strips. Cutting one in half and putting a strip at the front and back inside the hatband made the hat a comfortable fit, and it looks good! In the future, however, I think I'll order a size smaller (Large for me), if I buy a Stetson. They may just run large in comparison to other brands.	michael  revere

Perfect "Starter" Indiana Jones Hat	I am a big fan of the Indiana Jones films, and I've always wanted to have my very own Indy-style fedora. However, I didn't want to spend an exhorbitant amount of money on a hat not knowing how often I would wear it. This is the ideal hat to try out as it is inexpensive yet at the same time authentic. The Gangster is perfect!	i was looking into getting myself a quality fedora, that very much mimicked the look of the classic 1920's gangster style. this hat fit the bill! after simply bending the front of the brim down (it stays in place very well, and is easy to change if wanted/needed) this hat was the exact look i had wanted. i discovered it looks just as well when pulling off the gangsta look as well. looks great even when not paired with a suit, and adds a certain something or other to smoking a nice cigar. i personally wear mine tilted forward and off to one side a bit, but this hat is so versatile it can be worn a million different ways. worth every penny of the price. it looks great in black, and can complement almost any outfit (or cigar) would also be great looking for a poker tournament! i love it, and i've only had mine for 4 days! at this price, and with its high quality, the Gangster is a steal! Used on NBC's West Wing	Duane, I just wanted to let you know, that (in addition to receiving a multitude of compliments on the hat) I used it yesterday on the filming of West Wing. We were filming a shot with Alan Alda getting out of a car and going to a meeting in cold blustery Chicago. It was well received and fit perfectly with the situation. Thanks again. Versatile AND affordable?!?	This is a fantastic hat for the price. As has been mentioned previously, it steams and re-shapes very easily, giving you the possibility of pulling several styles from one lid. I've re-bashed the center crease into a diamond crease and closed up the front pinch a bit for a different look, and the hat still looks sharp and new. If you like to play with different bashes, this hat is very forgiving and flexible. You can't beat the color options, either!	Bill Thompson
Very Comfortable	This hat is VERY comfortable. It almost feels like not wearing a hat at all! It repels water well (I live in the Seattle area where it rains alot) and dries without showing water stains. This has become my favorite utility hat. I always get compliments when I wear it. Everyone wants to know where I got it. And it is very affordable, as Fedoras go. If I somehow ruin it, I'll quickly purchase another to replace it!!	Paul Fetterman

women were going ga-ga...	First it took only 4 or 5 days counting the weekend for my light grey w/black ribbon to get here, then it was almost a whole hour before women were going ga-ga and oohing and ahing over it.
